Dr. Sydney Oesch

Gynecology Oncology PGY 7 Fellow, Sydney Oesch, M.D., She went to medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She was drawn to MUSC by the wide range of pathology that would be a great learning environment, as well as the attendings who are great mentors in her career development. She found them to be a perfect combination of kind and intelligent. When she graduated, she plans to work as a GynOnc provider and also mentor medical students and residents. In her free time, she likes to travel, cook, garden, go to concerts and play with her dogs.

Dr. Robert Hutchinson

Gynecology Oncology PGY 6 Fellow, Robert Hutchinson, M.D., grew up in Camdenton, MO. He went to medical school at the University of South Carolina SOM, Greenville and was drawn to MUSC for the ability to work in an NCI-designated cancer center with high surgical volume as well as opportunities for research, including bench side and translational work, all while being on the coast. When he graduates, he plans to work at an academic university to continue cancer-related research and surgical education and legislative work for women affected by gynecologic cancers. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, cycling and team sports. He also enjoys reading, cooking and baking.

Nicolina Mascia, M.D.

Gynecology Oncology PGY 5 Fellow, Nicolina Mascia, M.D., grew up in Raleigh, NC. She went to medical school at Dartmouth University and was drawn to MUSC by the people and patients. She also feels that Charleston is an amazing place to live. She most likely plans to teach medical students and residents. In her free time, she enjoys barre classes, the beach restaurants and house projects with her husband.
