2025 Charleston Vestibular Conference

Program Overview:

This three-day conference is designed for all providers* involved in the care of patients with vestibular disorders. We will cover key topics on the evaluation and management of patients in this population. Our objectives are to provide current knowledge and best  practices when serving patients with vestibular disorders. An instructional hands-on lab will be included and will cover both the clinical and paraclinical evaluation of the patient with dizziness and the basic principles of vestibular therapy for various vestibular disorders. Course content is geared towards all levels of proficiency and expertise. The course includes lectures that are also available virtually. Conference Objectives:

Upon completion of this conference, participants should be better able to:

  • Evaluate comprehensively a patient with dizziness.
  • Evaluate and identify vestibular disorders in the pediatric population. 
  • Apply multidisciplinary assessment of pediatric vestibular disorders.
  • Assess the importance and prevalence of vestibular migraine as a cause of dizziness.
  • Detect atypical forms of BPPV.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the oculomotor exam and rehabilitation as part of the therapy of uncompensated vestibular dysfunction. \

Target Audience:

The target audience for the conference include the following: Otolaryngologists, Audiologists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Neurologists, Internists, Family Practitioners, Pediatricians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, VNG/ENG Technicians

Online Syllabus:

In our efforts to “go green”, an online syllabus will be provided to all attendees. Information will be emailed to you prior to the conference so that you may download a copy. Internet connection will also be available in the meeting room.

Credit Designation:

The Medical University of South Carolina designates this live activity for a maximum of _____  AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Conference Cancellation:

A refund will be made upon written request prior to October 6, 2025; however $100 will be retained for administrative costs. No refunds will be made after October 6, 2025. We reserve the right to cancel the conference if necessary. Full registration fees will be refunded for canceled programs. The Medical University of South Carolina cannot be responsible for reimbursement of airline or other transportation fares, hotel or rental car charges, including penalties. By registering for this conference, you acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy.
