COBRE in NeuroDevelopment and Its Disorders (CNDD)

The purpose of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) COBRE in NeuroDevelopment and Its Disorders (CNDD) is to build a basic, translational, and clinical research community focused on disorders of brain development, such as autism, ADHD, intellectual disability (ID), seizure disorders, and neonatal/pediatric brain trauma. The main objective is to study the genetic, molecular, cellular, and brain circuit mechanisms underlying risk and pathophysiology of these disorders, with a longer-term goal of developing new biomarkers and treatments that improve the health and well-being of individuals diagnosed with common neurodevelopment disorders (NDDs).
