CASE Seminars

CASE (Collaborative and Supportive Education) Seminars 2024-25

Formerly known as the Collaborative Office Rounds, CASE is a monthly inter-professional collaboration to present and discuss challenging developmental-behavioral pediatric cases via video-conferencing. Participants include Primary Care Pediatricians, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatricians, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, and other professionals, including psychologists, nurse practitioners and social workers and trainees.

The 2023-24 Series will meet virtually. To join a meeting, please email us for registration details or click the links below. Meetings are generally held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, August through June from noon-1pm EST. Learning Objectives

• Learn different approaches to developmental, behavioral and emotional problems
• Examine the effects of trauma and social, political and/or economic distress on children and families
• Improve pediatric primary care clinicians' capacity to recognize and manage psychosocial and developmental concerns within their practice
• Appreciate the role of cultural and national/legal differences, and practice variation in the care of children with developmental, behavioral and emotional problems

Target Audience

Physicians, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses specializing in Primary Care and Pediatrics.

Accreditation

The South Carolina Board of Examiners in Psychology will approve 1.0 Category A credits for each session attended.

The South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners will approve approximately 1.0 hours of designated credit for each session attended.

The South Carolina Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists will approve 1.0 hours of continuing education credit for each session attended.
