Match Day 2024

The Department of Medicine is thrilled to introduce the incoming 2024-2025 MUSC Internal Medicine Residency program interns! This rising class of 37 candidates will join us to begin their residencies this June. Match Day 2024 marks an exhilarating milestone in the journeys of young physicians, symbolizing the fruits of their dedication throughout four or more years of rigorous medical education.

The incoming 2024-2025 class includes:

• 26 categorical internal medicine track
• Two preliminary track
• Two Preliminary Track Ophthalmology
• One Preliminary Track Dermatology
• Two combined internal medicine/psychiatry track
• Four combined internal medicine/pediatrics track

This year, we received more than 2,400 applications for 435 interview spots to recruit a class of highly talented trainees. Our incoming class represents 27 medical schools from 15 states nationwide, with 3 international candidates and 8 candidates from the MUSC College of Medicine.

We are excited to embrace our incoming residents into the MUSC community, nurturing and guiding them as they evolve into the future pioneers of healthcare leadership. Throughout their training, they will engage with a cutting-edge medical curriculum that mirrors the tripartite mission of education, research, and clinical care at the MUSC College of Medicine.
