Pathology & Lab Medicine Graduate Training Applications

All graduate students in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine must first be admitted to the MUSC College of Graduate Studies. Requirements for admission to the Ph.D. program are available here. Application materials are available online.

During the first year of study, all students participate in the College of Graduate Studies First Year Curriculum. This interdisciplinary curriculum is designed to provide students with a basic overview of biomedical sciences and to promote the development of critical thinking and scientific insight.

Prospective students should identify Pathology and Laboratory Medicine as their primary program of interest in the application. Qualified candidates will receive an invitation for an interview and have the opportunity to tour the Department and meet the coordinator, faculty, and current students.

Financial Assistance is available to qualified students through the College of Graduate Studies and through the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Applicants are encouraged to complete and submit application materials early. The deadline to ensure consideration for stipends for the Ph.D. program is January 15th. There is no official deadline for the M.S. programs.
