 The following resident stipends are set for academic year July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025. Stipends are reevaluated in the fall of each year.

The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery additionally provides:

Educational Travel. In the final three years of the six-year program, residents attend one major cardiothoracic surgical meeting yearly. Expenses paid by the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Expenses are also paid for resident attendance for any meeting at for an accepted research presentation.

Provision of Surgical Loupes. The CT Surgery Division provides loupes for each of the residents upon entering the program.

Society of Thoracic Surgeons Membership. The CT Surgery Division sponsors candidate membership of its residents in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons each year of their training.

Self-Education Self-Assessment in Thoracic Surgery (SESATS). The CT Surgery Division reimburses its residents for the purchase of SESATS.
