Rhinology Basic Science Research
The Rhinology & Airway Immunology Lab, headed by Jennifer K. Mulligan, Ph.D., is investigating immunologic aspects of chronic inflammatory diseases of the airway.
Our group has published over 150 articles spanning the entire surgical, medical and basic science realm of sinus disorders. Areas of research interest include understanding the pathophysiology of chronic rhinosinusitis, understanding outcomes of medical and surgical treatments for chronic rhinosinusitis, skull base surgery, pediatric chronic rhinosinusitis, and cystic fibrosis. We are also interested in how sinusitis affects smell/olfaction, cognitive function, sleep, and asthma. A complete listing by our faculty can be found by following the links below.
