Medical Physics

A full program of educational activities for radiology residents is provided. This includes formal face-to-face lectures, web based video and quizzes, an intensive board exam review course, and practical in-the-field experience in equipment use.

The Division also participates in training medical physicists in their own residency program. A required course for first year medical students on interprofessional collaboration in Health care is taught by the chief of the division. Required lectures on introduction to radiation usage in medicine are also provided to the general population of medical students. Physicists participate in the radiology elective taken by third year medical students.
