Stephen Ballis, M.D.

Stephen (he/him) is a first year PHM fellow at MUSC. He earned his MD from the Medical College of Georgia, Medical Partnership campus in Athens, GA, then completed residency training and served as chief resident in Pediatrics at MUSC. His interests include medical education and mentorship for both students and residents. He is currently pursuing an MSCR at MUSC. Future career goals include working as an academic pediatric hospitalist, as well as continued involvement in medical education and mentoring, hoping to serve in a residency leadership position in the near future.

Marina Dantas, M.D.

Marina is a first year PHM fellow at MUSC. She earned her MD from Faculdade de Medicina da Bahia – UFBA, in Brazil. She also spent one year at the University of Liverpool, UK, as an exchange student. She then pursued a 2-year research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School, followed by her pediatric residency training at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital / Miami Children’s Health System.  Her current interests include quality improvement and medical education for students and residents. She is currently pursuing an MSCR at MUSC. She hopes to work as a pediatric hospitalist at an academic institution, with a focus on curriculum development and high-value care.” 

Camille Carre

Camille Carre, M.D.

Camille (she/her/hers) is a first year PHM fellow at MUSC. She earned her MD from the University of Central Florida and completed her residency and served as chief resident in Pediatrics at the University of South Florida. She is interested in quality improvement, medical education, and clinical documentation improvement. She is currently pursuing an MSCR at MUSC. Her future includes working as an academic pediatric hospitalist with an interest in serving in residency or fellowship leadership.

Maggie Haj

Maggie Haj, M.D.

Magda "Maggie" Haj is a first year PHM fellow at MUSC. She earned her MD from the American University of Beirut – in Beirut, Lebanon and then completed residency training in Pediatrics at MUSC. Her current interests include quality improvement work centered around racial disparities in hospital-acquired conditions among pediatric inpatients, as well as inpatient use of albuterol in asthma management. Maggie is also greatly interested in medical education for both students and residents. She is currently pursuing an MSCR at MUSC. Her future career goals include working as a pediatric hospitalist at an academic institution, with a focus on medical student curriculum development and continued quality improvement work.
