Mentoring

Meet our team and learn about our mentoring program!

The MUSC Pediatric Residency Mentoring Program is a comprehensive, longitudinal program designed to support residents’ growth as outstanding pediatricians and help them achieve their individual career goals. Incoming interns are paired with both a dedicated faculty mentor and a resident peer mentor, creating a strong foundation of guidance, support, and connection from the beginning of training.

Faculty mentors provide ongoing support throughout residency, meeting regularly with residents to discuss academic and professional development, wellness, career planning, and individualized curriculum goals. As residents’ interests evolve, mentor relationships may be adjusted or expanded to include additional career-focused mentors who provide guidance in areas such as scholarly activity, quality improvement projects, fellowship preparation, research opportunities, and job planning.

Through these meaningful mentor relationships, residents receive personalized guidance and support as they navigate residency training and prepare for their future careers in pediatrics.
