FLEX Projects with Dr. Paul McDermott

Dr. McDermott has two FLEX projects available for the Spring of 2023:

1. Interactive Learning: Develop an interactive learning module for Brightspace using the HTML-based platform H5P. Specific topics include: 1) Heart Sounds and 2) Tools of Molecular Genetics. Students will research the topic, produce a working H5P module. and develop an assessment tool. The module could potentially be submitted to the AAMC MedEd portal for peer-review or for sharing in a H5P library.
2. Animated Cell Biology Videos: Students will work on developing animated videos for processes in cell biology. Specific topics include: 1) Synthesis of Membrane Proteins, 2) Endosomes and Lysosomes, and 3) Vesicular Trafficking. This project requires that the student has some experience working on computer animations. The animated videos could potentially be submitted to the AAMC MedEd portal for peer-review.
