2025 Therapy Update in Primary Care

Conference Description

The Therapy Update in Primary Care is designed to assist primary care providers with the how, when and why to consider the application of new knowledge and/or new medications where appropriate based upon the evidence that is available at the time. Areas where considerable new information and/or medications have become available in the last year will be included in this update. The purpose of this conference is to review common problems and chronic conditions in family medicine and provide practical approaches to their prevention, evaluation and treatment. Our primary goal is to provide these practitioners with the most appropriate, up-to-date, cost-effective and evidence based pharmacotherapy information so that they can apply this information to the care of their patients. Our overall goal is to assist these providers in obtaining the best patient oriented outcomes for their patients.

Credit Designation

Pharmacy Accreditation: The University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This activity is eligible for ACPE credit; see final CPE activity announcement for specific details.

PLEASE NOTE: For non-pharmacy attendees, you now receive your CME and CEU credits online. After the conference, you will be emailed instructions and a link to claim your credit online and print your credit certificate. Access to Recorded Presentations

The MUSC Office of CME, with the permission of each speaker, will be recording each presentation of the conference. The videos will be posted online after the conference and be available for those who are not able to live stream the entire conference. Viewing the videos will offer the same amount of CME credit and can be viewed for up to 14 days following the posting date. The non-refundable fee for this service is $100.00 and is only available to individuals registered for the conference. Access to the videos will be granted to attendees who purchase this option in advance of the conference.

The fee for in-person attendance includes tuition, breaks, online syllabus and certificates of attendance. The fee for virtual attendance includes tuition, online syllabus, and certificates of attendance. Please note: for virtual registrations, a minimum number of participants must register to be able to offer the virtual meeting. If this minimum is not met, you will be notified by February 5, 2025, and will be given the option to change to in-person registration or receive a full refund. If the virtual registration option is canceled, the video access option would also be canceled and a refund will be issued to anyone that purchased access to the videos

Cancellation

A refund will be made upon written request prior to January 17, 2025; however, $100 will be retained for administrative costs. No refunds will be made after January 17, 2025. We reserve the right to cancel the program if necessary. Full registration fees will be refunded for canceled programs. By registering for this conference, you agree to this cancellation policy.
