This day recognizes internal medicine specialists and sub-specialists who are united by a commitment to excellence and who make a difference in the lives of their patients every day.

2019 South Carolina Chapter of the American College of Physicians Scientific Meeting

The South Carolina Chapter of the American College of Physicians scientific meeting was held on October 25-27 in Charleston, S.C. This meeting serves as a way for colleagues to recharge, rewind, and reflect with their peers, chapter leaders, and guest speakers. South Carolina Chapter’s has a rich source of knowledge and provides an excellent backdrop for networking for general internists, subspecialty internists, hospitalists, allied health practitioners, residents, and medical students.

William Moran, M.D., receives the Laureate Award

The South Carolina Chapter presented William Moran, M.D., M.S., FACP the 2019 Laureate Award during the Friday evening reception. Laureate Award winners are long-standing and loyal supporters of the college who have rendered distinguished service to their chapter and community and have upheld the high ideals and professional standards for which the college is known. This award also honors those who have demonstrated by their example and conduct an abiding commitment to excellence in medical care, education, or research and in service to their community, their chapter, and the American College of Physicians. This is the highest award that can be awarded at the chapter level of the ACP.
