Mental Health Disparities and Diversity Program

The Mental Health Disparities and Diversity Program (MHDDP) at the Medical University of South Carolina was established to increase the understanding of the factors affecting mental health service disparities in underserved populations and generate research and knowledge to eliminate them.

The MHDDP takes a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to the inequities in mental health access and quality of care. Our program seeks to address mental health disparities and related diversity issues through research, educational training, community outreach and information dissemination, and clinical service.
