Poster Information

Poster Presenter Guidelines

  • The poster presentation size requirement for the 2025 DOM Research Symposium is 48” wide x 36” high, hung horizontally.
  • Please note: If you already have a printed poster for your poster presentation and it is 48” wide x 36” high or smaller, please feel free to use it for the 2025 DOM Research Symposium.
  • Please use the Department of Medicine Poster Presentation template for your poster presentation. Printing information is below
  • Poster presenters should work with their mentor to practice and review their presentation in advance of presenting at the Research Symposium.
  • Final “Presentation Instructions” will be provided the week of March 24. It will contain final details on how the posters will be presented and the Judging component.
  • Poster presenters will be expected to hang their posters between 8 – 8:30 a.m. the morning of Friday, March 28.
  • All poster presenters should be present at their poster by 8:30 a.m. and are expected to stay until the end of the judging period (approximately 11:30 a.m. on March 28).
  • Presenters should gather their posters after all judging is complete (approximately 11:30 a.m. on March 28).
  • Poster presenters are strongly encouraged to attend the Research Day Poster Award Ceremony taking place in the Bioengineering 112 Classroom at 1:15 p.m.
  • Presenters should dress in professional work attire for the 2025 DOM Research Symposium.

Poster Presenter Printing Information

  • Please send your completed poster PowerPoint (using the template linked above) to Catherine Bennett (phillica@musc.edu) by end of day Tuesday, March 18, for printing.
  • Please pick up your printed poster from the MUSC University Press Bee Street Garage office (112 Bee Street, Suite 105) between March 26 and March 27.

Oral Presenter Guidelines & Important Dates

  • Oral presenters will be notified approximately three weeks prior to March 28 that their abstract has been selected for oral presentation.
  • Presenters should work with their mentor to practice and review their presentation in advance of presenting at the Research Symposium.
  • There will be a time limit of 15 minutes for oral presentations.
  • Please use the Department of Medicine Oral Presenter PowerPoint template for your oral presentation.
  • March 26: PowerPoint slides should be sent to Catherine Bennett (phillica@musc.edu) by noon on Wednesday, March 26 so that they can be uploaded onto the system in advance.
  • Mentor should be present during oral presentations.
  • Presenters should dress in professional work attire for the 2025 DOM Research Symposium.
