John Robinson, M.D.

John Floyd Robinson is a Neurologist from Simpsonville, South Carolina. He went to the University of South Carolina and graduated in 2011 with a BA in Experimental Psychology with an emphasis in Pre-medical studies and neuroscience. He received his Medical Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2017. He completed his internship and neurology residency at the University of Florida Jacksonville in 2021 and currently practices general neurology in Palm Springs, California.

How did MUSC help you grow academically?

"MUSC 100% changed my life. I went from being a small town South Carolina kid with a dollar and a dream, to being chief resident, teacher of the year and the first Black male graduate of my residency program. I have saved lives, provided hope to the hopeless, and given an example of how others can achieve. MUSC has allowed me to not only see my dream through, but to also grow it and allow it to evolve into something bigger than I initially saw."

What is the most important thing you learned while at MUSC?

"That I belonged."
