College of Medicine Pathway Programs

The College of Medicine offers programs and initiatives to support underrepresented students interested in pursuing a career in medicine. 

The hard work and efforts of the COM team has led to an increase in underrepresented in medicine students, residents and faculty. Underrepresented in medicine individuals in the College of Medicine currently represent 20% of the student body.

Our different pathway programs are as follows:

• Students Mentors for Minorities in Medicine (SM3)
• Summer Institute
• Summer Medicine Academy
• Post-Baccalaureate Reapplication Program (PREP)
• Minority Association of Premedical Students (MAPS) Conference
