Welcome to MUSC. We are excited to have you on board and are available to assist you with all your grant submissions.

Grant Submission Process

  1. As soon as you know you want to submit a grant please fill out our Grant Submission Form. You do not have to be 100% certain when you fill out this form.

  2. Once you have submitted the form, a member of the Grants and Finance Pre-Award team will assign a Pre-Award team member to assist you with your grant submission. The team member will reach out to you to schedule a meeting and get more information from you on your submission at least 1 month prior to the submission deadline. You will also receive a grant timeline outlining when you need to provide documents to your team member.

  3. The Department has a 5 business day deadline before the submission date for all grant documents or we cannot guarantee that your grant will be submitted.

  4. Grant Outcomes: Once you have received the results of your submission, please fill out the Grant Score Form. This will assist us with tracking your submissions and scores. 

Grant Transfers

If you are an incoming faculty member transferring grants from your previous institution, please contact your division administrator and a team member will be assigned to assist you.

Clinical Trials 

For any industry clinical trials please reach out to Derek Sanford, Clinical Trials Team Leader, at sanfordd@musc.edu, who can assist with assigning a team member to complete your budget and contract negotiations.
